Job Description: Housekeeper / Custodian
Cleaning operating areas after surgery's, and safely transport patients to designated areas per nursing request. Uses variety of technical skills to assist the nursing staff as requested during surgical cases. Maintain and control support services equipment and supplies. Maintain the OR environment in an aesthetically safe and sanitary condition
- Escorts and directs patient to the appropriate source of assistance. provides a safe environment for patients and their family
- Coordinates and maintains uniform room activities such as locker assignments and scrubs for al OR personnel
- CLEANING HOSPITAL OPERATING ROOMS
- Properly handles and disposes of hazardous waste
- Complies with special cleaning requests for waste and infection control surgical cases
Job Requirements: Housekeeper / Custodian
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Will have to get CPR certified.
- Be able to work quietly and quickly in patient area
- An eye for detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- A neat, clean appearance
- lift over 175lbs Lifting and Moving patients
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate proper communication with others.
- Mathematical ability required. Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
